confirmation preparation - lesson 8

This week we are going to meditate on the story about Jesus and Zacchaeus, a despised tax collector in Luke 19:1-10. He collected money from his own people for the Romans and stole a bit for himself. Note how Jesus approached this man. He could have shouted, "Repent, you sinner!" Instead He said, "I want to come over for dinner." And that changed Zacchaeus' life.

Now go ahead and pray this biblical scene. If you have a Bible accessible, turn to Luke 19:1-10. Otherwise, you can find the scene written on page 65 of your textbook.

Dive in: read The Doldrums on page 66.

Remember, you'll need to take a saint name at your confirmation. So begin looking up different saints now so you have time to discover them, begin praying to yours, and feel confident about your choice by the time confirmation comes!
