Confirmation preparation - lesson 4

"How do I know God is real?"

This week we are going to look at how God reveals himself to us and how we respond to that revelation. Let's begin with prayer on page 25, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit...

Now let's dive in: as an introduction to this week's videos, flip to page 26 and read, A God Who Wants to Be Known.

Then watch the lesson four videos and respond to the follow up questions on page 27.

Now let's turn to page 28 and read, To The Heart with Chris Stefanick. Is there a part of nature that "speaks" to you about God?

Can you answer the Find It! question on page 29?

On pages 32-33 you'll find words to know from this week:

-Natural Reason

-Baptism

-Magisterium

-Tradition

-Ritual

All of the yellow words like these that you find in your Chosen book are defined in the index in the back of the book.

Homework: Saint research! Read about our Hero of the Week, Saint Thomas Aquinas, on page 30.

*SAINT NAME NOTICE: Another source you can search through to find a saint that inspires you is: mycatholic.life

Remember, you'll need to take a saint name at your confirmation. So begin looking up different saints now so you have time to discover them, begin praying to yours, and feel confident about your choice by the time confirmation comes!
